Due to an increase in customer demand, CommScope is hiring CDL-A OTR Driver in Catawba, NC How You'll Help Us Connect the World: As a CDL-A OTR Driver, you will be essential to the day-to-day operation of the business, covering inner plant moves and delivering to customer locations, primarily in the Midwest and East Coast. Responsibilities and accountability: Driving a tractor-trailer Ensuring accurate documentation of all paperwork Possessing a positive company image Completing daily vehicle inspections Maintaining timely communications with people involved with the continued operations of the company facilities Ensuring trailers are dropped and properly secured Maintain equipment in a clean and sanitary manner Abide by the State & Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Required Qualifications for Consideration: Meet all the requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT), including being at least 25 years old with a valid Commercial Driver's License from the state of residency Experience driving tractor-trailer equipment with at least 110,000 verifiable over-road miles in the last 2.5 years* Very few moving violations in the last 12 months Knowledge of shipping documents and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Pay and Benefits: At CommScope, we value our employees and provide work-life balance. That is why we provide at-home time each week and are mindful of our hours of operation and holiday schedules. Drivers receive pay of 64 cents per mile and are eligible for an annual safety bonus of 2 cents per mile. Additionally, the driver will receive pay for layover time, stop pay, truck breakdown time, and detention time. The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation, medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan and participation in the Company's Incentive Plan.
