Salary: $108,550 - 196,225 per year Requirements:

• I have experience in administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment.
• I possess knowledge of standards, concepts, and tools to complete technology monitoring and management of F5 appliances.
• I have technical knowledge in backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• I am skilled in creating, managing, and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces.
• I can work independently in support of customer requirements and interface effectively with team members on requirements and solutions.
• I am familiar with IT Service Management products such as ServiceNow.
• I meet DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).
• I hold an F5 Certified Administrator (201) or higher certification.
• I have a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience. I can also substitute an Associate’s degree with 14 years of related experience or a High School Diploma with 16 years of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, I am a US citizen and possess or am willing to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• I ensure that Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) offloading and brokering PKI authentication features provided by the F5 appliance are operational at all times.
• I make certain that load balancing configurations and PKI certificates are backed up in accordance with customer policies.
• I alert load balancing and reverse proxy customers prior to PKI certificate expiration and assist with certificate renewals as necessary.
• I create, manage, and troubleshoot load balanced IP address spaces.
• I develop and implement technical solutions in collaboration with engineers and architects.
• I provide after-hours support to 24/7/365 IT Operations Center personnel to assist with troubleshooting service outages.
• I develop and update technical solutions, operating procedures, and other documentation for 24/7/365 IT Operations Center personnel to assist with initial troubleshooting and triage efforts.

Leidos is seeking a Load Balance Network Engineer SME to maintain a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. This role involves implementing, operating, and maintaining load balancer technologies in a global enterprise across multiple networks. Duties include updating to new technologies, tuning performance, and implementing critical system patches. This infrastructure may include on-premises and cloud resources. I will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met for internal and external customers.

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $108,550.00 - $196,225.00. This range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, and applicable laws.
