Job Description:

The Massage Therapist will provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

  • Ensure an environment in which high standards of comfort, service, and quality exist for our guests
  • Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service
  • Receive guests on time for their service in a courteous, professional and polite manner
  • Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices
  • Properly open and close each shift according to Standard Operating Procedures and Spa protocols
  • Properly care for equipment, using proper sanitation and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls
  • Provide accurate and detailed descriptions of spa treatments, packages, services, treatment contraindications, facility features and hours of operation
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered
  • Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available in the Spa or on property
  • Responds promptly to guest requests, complaints or inquiries professionally, courteously and promptly reporting to a supervisor if needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well-organized work area
  • Assist in all areas of the spa operation, including locker room and fitness center as needed, as requested by management
  • Ensures teamwork and enhances cooperation between all departments.
  • Remember, that nothing is more important than safety and security, so you will do checks and work with the property engineering team and your local vendors to ensure all items are in proper working order and excellent condition
  • Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by leadership to aid in better operation of the property and service to the guests 

Necessary Skills:

  • Extensive, previous experience as a Massage Therapist at a quality location
  • Can multi-task and meet deadlines while projecting a resort-like image both in person and over the phone.
  • Able to report to work for scheduled shifts
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, we are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
  • Able to communicate in the English language
  • Can maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
  • Have or can learn knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
  • Able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
  • Able to work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
  • Have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
  • Comfortable using a step stool or ladder
  • Able to use/lift arms and/or stand for up to 8 hours
  • Able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold and stress
  • Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
  • Has the highest degree of integrity and is humble, living by the Golden Rule
  • Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
