We are proud to that Christiana Hospital, Wilmington Hospital, our Ambulatory Services, and HomeHealth have all received ANCC Magnet Recognition(r).Primary Function:ChristianaCare is currently seeking a Full-Time Physician Billing Representative responsible for reviewing Physician Billing account edits and taking the appropriate action to facilitate billing within the Patient Financial Services Department.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Accesses assigned edits via a worklistAssesses reason for edit and initiates appropriate update in the billing systemReviews medical records and documentation for coding accuracyMeets departmental goals with regards to the physician account holdsEnters charges into billing system as neededEducation and Experience Requirements:High school graduate or equivalent, Associates degree preferred3-5 years physician billing/coding experience preferably in a computerized physician billing department or large physician group practiceCertified Professional Coder (CPC-A or CPC) credentials required- would be willing to consider someone who is currently in the process of obtaining their certification with the agreement that it must be completed within one year from date of hire.Christianacare Offers:Full Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, etc.403(b) with company matchGenerous paid time offIncredible Work/Life benefits including annual membership to care.com, access to backup care services for dependents through Care@Work, retirement planning services, financial coaching, fitness and wellness reimbursement, and great discounts through several vendors for hotels, rental cars, theme parks, shows, sporting events, movie tickets and much more!
